What is a Mala?

A Mala, or Garland, is a string of 108 beads with hand-tied knots in between beads and is traditionally used as a counting device for Mantra Meditation. A male can also serve many purposes including protection, inspiration, guidance, support and your connection to the Divine.

Mala Making Classes

I love sharing this art and ancient tradition with others at your yoga studio or for a handful of friends. Creating a Mala is more than just stringing beads and tying knots- there is a systematic mindful process including mantra and calling in the elements and different energies to bring balance and protection. I am grateful for my teacher and friend Sarita Sheaths for sharing with me this ancient art with me so I too can pass down to others. Classes can include hand picked beads for each participant with their personal Vedic Charts. Cost is relative to your location, booking time and number of participants.
