Short + Sweet Shore Side Elopement ~ Sweet, Romantic, Nature
Belle + Victor | Elopement | 7.24.18
Shores of Lake Dillon, CO
Amabelle Lou Dorigo & Victor Gar Feit Yu tied the knot on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 5:30 pm on the shores of Lake Dillon, CO. Currently living in Washington, DC, working at the Four Seasons, Belle and Victor met in Orlando, FL.
The couple wanted a simple intimate ceremony by water where they could be in nature and feel connected to the greater powers. Belle’s wedding dress had special significance as her go to dress for special occasions including Burning Man. For the past 5 years during their courtship they have enjoyed indulging in cooking food, exploring new historical places, visiting inspiring scenic destinations and savoring in quiet times at home.
When asked what marriage mean to you, they both shared that “It is a lifelong commitment to love, respect, and support one another while sharing a ton of laughter in spite of the tears or frustrations that may come along the way.”
Their ceremony Included also include these 2 special readings:
Excerpt from Paulo Coelho's Aleph
“I love you because all the loves in the world are like different rivers flowing into the same lake, where they meet and are transformed into a single love that becomes rain and blesses the earth.
I love you like a river that gives water to the thirsty and takes people where they want to go.
I love you like a river which understands that it must learn to flow differently over waterfalls and to rest in the shallows.
I love you because we are all born in the same place, at the same source, which keeps us provided with a constant supply of water.
And so, when we feel weak, all we have to do is wait a little.
The spring returns, the winter snows melt and fill us with new energy.
I receive your love and I give you mine.
Not the love of a man for a woman, not the love of a father for a child,
not the love of God for his creatures.
But a love with no name and no explanation
Like a river that cannot explain why it follows a particular course, but simply flows onwards.
A love that asks for nothing and gives nothing in return; it is simply there. I will never be yours and you will never be mine; nevertheless, I can honestly say: I love you.”
Final Prayer
Let us pray. God, we ask for your blessings upon this man and woman, as we celebrate this momentous occasion in their lives. Grant them happiness and contentment as they establish their new home, create a new family and explore the depths of their love for one another and for you. Bless their families and friends and the relationships, which have supported, strengthened and sustained them throughout their lives. Bless their home as a place of love and of peace. And if times grow hard and tempers grow short, help them to look into their hearts and remember the love that brought them here today. Amen.
